Purchasing an Apple Watch is just like a buying a mechanical watch in Malaysia
It’s quite a thorough process, but once you get hold of your beloved timepiece, learn how to care for it, and
enjoy your it. However, take note that Apple watches are not invincible. They are durable and long lasting, but not invincible.
Give it the utmost watch care, just like the care, love and attention you are giving to your mechanical watch. So, what if it gets water-damaged, smashed or cracked? Don’t worry, there is
still hope to have it replaced or repaired.
Screen damage is the most common issue here. Others complain about the back plate coming off, or about poor battery life. If you are encountering a worse issues, like physically damaged parts, then maybe it’s time to ask the help of a professional. Some owners, though, just decide to buy a replacement instead of availing repairs. Whatever your choice is, make sure to get the best deals.
An Apple Watch’s screen is made to last. It wouldn’t break easily, since its glass is strengthened. Even cheaper models with aluminum cases are durable, and has a face made of Ion-X glass. It wouldn’t break during normal usage. Just don’t smash it face down. But, come to think of it, even if you smash it face down, you can easily replace the screen.
Another aspect that can give rise to problems is the strap
Well, that is not at all surprising. Even stainless steel can scratch easily. What’s important there is that Apple watch straps are replaceable.
How about water resistance? Well, the water resistance level of your timepiece depends on the model you have. Apple Watch series 2, 3 and 4 are all water resistant, with a rating of 50 meters, under the ISO standard 22810:2010.
But, you must never use it for waterskiing, scuba diving or other sports activities that involve high-velocity water submersion. While Apple doesn’t recommend people to submerge their gadgets in water, several owners have discovered that to some extent, they are water resistant.
If you think that this something seriously wrong with your Apple Watch, this can be covered by the Apple warranty. Apple will most likely replace it, as long as the owner can prove that it is not tampered. Expect your timepiece to be covered by a warranty for a single year.
